As the temperatures plummet, the Town of Cheshire reminds you that warming centers for residents are available at the following municipal locations:
Cheshire Senior Center, 240 Maple Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
The Cheshire Public Library, 104 Main Street from Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Cheshire Police Department, 500 Highland Avenue main lobby is open 24/7 and available as a warming center.
Masks and social distancing are required at all Town facilities, and occupancy is limited due to COVID-19 protocols.
The Cheshire Emergency Management Team will continue to monitor advisories that have been issued by the National Weather Service. Here are some prevention tips from the www.ready.gov web site to stay safe in the cold:

Make a Family Communications Plan. Your family may not be together when disaster strikes, so it is important to know how you will contact one another, how you will get back together and what you will do in case of an emergency.
