GRASS CLIPPINGS DROP OFF
The Town of Cheshire is providing a container at 1304 Waterbury Road (adjacent to the Town Garage) for disposal of residential grass clippings and leaves.  Please note that no other items will be accepted.  Disposal by commercial operations is not permitted.

 Residents must empty grass clippings and leaves out of the bag or container. Leaves may be in biodegradable bags. There is no charge.

 

The container will be accessible from 7:30-8:30 AM every Monday morning beginning Monday, April 29, 2024.
 
LEAF COLLECTION

The Town’s Leaf Collection will begin on Monday, November 4, 2024

Residents may bring leaves in biodegradable bags for disposal at the Public Works Garage, 1286
Waterbury Road on Monday mornings from 7:30-8:30 AM on 11/4, 11/18, 11/25, 12/2 and
12/9.

For Curbside Collection: leaves must be placed curbside in biodegradable bags before 7:00 AM
Mondays for pick-up by the Public Works
Department according to the following schedule. Monday 11/11 is Veteran’s Day observed and there will not be any collections.

November 4 – November 8, 2024 – Entire Town.

Week of November 12, 2024 All residences EAST side of Route 10 (Wallingford side)

Week of November 18, 2024 All residences WEST of Route 10 (Waterbury side)

Week of November 25, 2024 All residences EAST side of Route 10 (Wallingford side)

Week of December 2, 2024 All residences WEST of Route 10 (Waterbury side)

Week of December 9, 2024 All streets

NOTE: Inclement weather or unexpected emergencies can delay leaf collection.

CHRISTMAS TREE DISPOSAL
The Public Works Department will be accepting Christmas trees at 1304 Waterbury Road (Route 70) on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM.  Only Christmas trees will be accepted and proof of residency may be requested.  There is no charge.
