The Highway Crew maintains and repairs Town roads and sidewalks and performs construction work designed by the Engineering Division. During winter months, the crew clears the snow from Town roads. They also clear sidewalks around Town buildings and in parks, including the Linear Trail between North Brooksvale Road and Cornwall Avenue. Annually in the spring, crews perform street sweeping operations.
Tree work consists of maintenance trimming and removing Town trees which are deemed to be potential fall hazards. The Department also oversees all tree work in the Town Right-of-Way performed by utility companies and private property owners.
